Who are we?
Timothy Beardson founded Crosby, the pan-Asian investment bank, which he sold in the 1990s. He is now a regular speaker, particularly on the future of China, at government, university and commercial events. His book Stumbling Giant: The Threat to China’s Future (Yale University Press, 2013), examines the challenges faced by China in the twenty-first century.
He is the Chairman of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to highly talented Chinese graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds. He is also the Chairman of Albert Place Holdings Ltd, an Asian investment firm.
Nick Fielding is an experienced journalist and researcher. As a senior reporter on the Sunday Times and as chief investigative reporter for the Mail on Sunday he covered major stories both at home and abroad.
He has also successfully completed major research projects for UK government and for business intelligence organisations. He is responsible for direction and quality control on all of our projects. He is the author of several books, the latest of which is about the nineteenth century exploration of Central Asia and Siberia.
William Stancer has spent five years living and working in China. He was involved in the establishment and development of Accenture in this market and has experience as a Director of a software/outsourcing firm based in China.
He has over 12 years experience in the management/technology consulting sector and currently is a consultant to the Global law firm King & Wood Mallesons which is one of the largest law firms in China and to a leading Clean Energy company headquartered in China.
During William’s time at Accenture he co-ordinated a number of market research initiatives within China and has extensive links with the Chinese business community both in China as well as in the UK.
